Spanish fun

Yesterday, we went to a sort of Spanish wine, tapas, music and lifestyle festival taking place at the Fields Park in London. It was The Rioja Festival and was actually really good - especially THE FOOD. Okay, I'll give you that, and the wine too.

Here, the photos of the day for you:

Kensington afternoon

On Sunday we went to Kensington with a friend - who happens to be our new flatmate - and paid a visit to the Palace, the Gardens, Serpentine Gallery and Hyde Parkon Sunday. The weather wasn't inviting, but we made up our mind to fight back our laziness which encouraged us to stay at home and spend quiet afternoons in front of the TV all wrapped in a comfy blankie.

Lately, the London weather has been responsible for my homesickness. I definitely miss the sun and the beach. At least I'm enjoying an anticipated summer holiday and will go to Portugal in the end of July where I will spend August literally under the sun having fun!!! Yeeeeey!;) I am absolutely thrilled with the perspective of sun, summer, friends and family!

Today it was house chores day for me and I still have to try out my new Remington hair straightener, which I bought at amazon.co.uk and has just arrived. It was quite cheap, with a £50 discount, so we'll see if it'll do - there was a lot of positive feedback on the Internet thought.

Enjoy your day BB! Above all, if you're lucky enough to live in a sunny place, enjoy it to the most!

pink and mint puppet

Yesterday I got to do some of the things I love: eat, laugh and learn. Unlike today, yesterday London was given the gift of sun. So, this was the first plus for Sunday.

We first went to the May Fayre and Puppet Festival in Covent Garden, which is the oldest Puppet Festival in Europe. There were puppet shows from all over Europe, from Switzerland to Germany, to Sweden or Norway. I even got the chance to have some "Pastéis de Nata" and "Brigadeiros" in a Portuguese/Brasilian stall, which was one of the high moments of the day - Gosh, how I miss Portuguese pastry! Here are the photos for you!

We then went to the "Picasso Prints: The Vollard Suite" exhibition, which takes place in the British Museum until September 2nd. It was quite interesting and we got to understand Rembrandt's influence in Picasso's work, as well as the influence of Greek mithology, with the presence of characters such as the Minotaur. The relationship between the artist and his models is also represented and what I found most shocking were the prints under the theme of "Rape" - probably because that's the woman's scariest nightmare. The pictures for you:

shopping frenzy (7)

Who doesn't like Primark?

Today, among other shops, I went shopping at Primark. I don't buy a lot there, but usually, if I go there, I always bring something home (okay, okay, a "few" things). When I lived in Portugal and went to a Primark store for the first time I felt it was paradise: the items are not of amazing quality (we all have to agree on that) but "they will do" and many of them are still fashionable and trendy, so why not? It is not the right place if you want a bag or a pair of shoes for life, but it is the right place to go if you're short on money but still are craving for shopping.

Unlike some of my friends, and many women who always carry those grey Primark trolleys full of clothes and accessories they will never really wear, I think I never spent there more than £35/40. I don't love everything I see - let's just say I'm exquisite - eheheh! However, with 30£ you can buy a lot of things there. I'll show you.

Sandals, YEEEEY! the 1st pair was 6£ and the 2nd 8£ - lovely AND cheap!

I hate buying cheap poor-quality bags, I do!
But, in my defence, I love this Tiffany blue that goes with my iPhone rubber case and it was only £6!! :)

The Colourful Necklace - only £4! Cheap, and great to wear with some dresses, blouses and sweaters.

The oversized black shirt to wear with almost everything: shorts, jeans, skirts and so on - 10£.

This is how it looks on me - I love trying on the new stuff I buy when I arrive home - just to make sure it was well-invested money, of course. :)
[ btw, never mind the silly face, I do that all the time! and what's that with my right hand?!?!
Gosh, what a picture! :)]

So, all in all, I spent £34! and look how much stuff I brought home! We have to love it!

velvet & bows @ the tube station

I've always been fascinated with bows and ribbons, what can I do?!

Sometimes I simply opt for girly girl looks, others I just go with the flow and mix some styles. Most of you will probably hate this look and say: "God, is she smoking weed?!" and the answer is "No!", I'm just feeling confident enough (be scaaaareeeed, guys!) to go for a more creative view when it comes to fashion. So, why not?! Mix soft velvet, with bows, some old biker boots and a tunic and this is the result. Hope you like the post!

stealing my boyfriend's clothes...

I am absolutely mad about oversized clothes. Which better way to find those than to sneakily visit our boyfriends' closets and borrow some of their shirts and sweaters?! Easy, ah?! And the best of it is that IT'S FOR FREE! :)
